Dell 430 SC video problem...

Some of you may recall my tale of woe concerning a customer's Dell 430 SC server. The system has had most of it's internals replaced 3 times. The latest issue with the system has been that the system hangs. At first it hung about once a week but after updating the firmware drivers and OS (Windows SBS 2003) the system was hanging about once every 24 hours or so. My latest call got escalated to 3rd level support and it turns out that somewhere along the line one of Microsoft's patches has induced a video driver problem. The fix - disable the onboard video (Intel XGI Volare) and install an inexpensive ATI PCI graphics card. Actually Dell support was quite good and they shipped me a card within a few hours of finding the problem. Still, given how common this particular box is, there will be lots of these systems being updated...
