  More then passing interest, in my case.  The short version is that
yes, they (meaning the Samba 4 team) are working on having Samba be an
Active Directory Domain Controller, but it is a long way off.  It
sounds like Bill McGonigle[1] is closer to the truth then I expected. 
Which is good news, I think.
