Are there problems using hardware RAID with Redhat Fedora Core 4?

I know that's easily the best way to do it, keeping proprietary drivers are 
far away from the OS as possible.  With the "single" effectively just being a 
SCSI drive, it's a lot easier to work with it.

That said, have you tried looking for utilities that will allow communication 
with the controller?  I used to have a machine with an AMI/LSILogic MegaRaid 
controller and they had utilities available as source to monitor and 
administer the controller and the arrays.  It's possible that such utilities 
exist for this card as well.
