Any particular advantage to mailscanner over amavis? I'm not familiar with it
except what apt-cache tells me. Dovecot also sounds interesting, but we're
making heavy use of public folders here, so that means Cyrus is really the
only option. I'd prefer Courier otherwise.

So in other words, you think LDAP is too much? The LDAP integration is kind
of an important part of this. Or will it work with "real unix users" more
invisibly so long as PAM/NSS is setup with LDAP already?
