Not that old. I think Solaris 10 will run on it though it might be slow.

I think FreeBSD and OpenBSD have been working on it. NetBSD too.
Good luck finding a current linux distribution for Sparc.
Oh, there are also the various OpenSolaris based distributions. One of them
used the Solaris kernel with Debian on top of it.
