btw, i know there is a jobs list, but i've posted it there twice, and
somehow my message got the wrong encoding or content type, and ended up as a
bunch of unreadable characters.  As a last ditch effor to get the word out,
I used a different client and sent to the discuss list -- using the obvious
subject token.
