NELS looking for attendees and a replacement presenter

The NorthEast Linux Symposia are educator-focused summer training
conferences. We have two of them: one in Bethel, Maine from June 17-20
and one at UNH in Durham from July 16-19.

The NELS in Bethel has been held for the past three years, and last
year we had a few more than 60 attendees! But the UNH NELS is
brand-new this year, and we could still use some help in getting the
word out and getting people to register at http://nelinux.net.

Who should attend:
 * Free Software vendors/support people
 * technology coordinators
 * technology directors
 * technicians
 * school administrators
 * teachers

We have put together a flier about NELS that presents a concise
picture of what we're all about:

The Software Freedom Day wiki has a starting point for an open letter
to educational institutions, and a polite, thoughtfully customized
version of that might be a good thing to send to your local school
district's tech team along with a copy of our flier and some
encouragement to consider attending NELS. The real URL for this letter
is long, but the tinurl is not: http://tinyurl.com/eaa99

We've got a great schedule lined up for this year, as you can see by
our program:

Unfortunately, the gentleman who was going to speak on Winbind
& Active Directory has had to cancel. We would prefer that this topic
was simply irrelevant because nobody *ran* Active Directory, but sadly
the world is not yet to that point and we need another presenter to
cover this session at both conferences.

It's a 1/2-day session, and the goal is to demonstrate winbind
configuration while facilitating all the attendees in configuring
their own systems that they bring to the session.

If you're interested or you know of somebody who might be, please
contact me (phone anytime, or email). Presenters pay nothing to be at
the symposium, and since this is only a 1/2 day session you'll have
the rest of the time to attend other sessions (and even assist other
presenters if you like) and generally hang out with fun people.
