  But where's the joy of adding things you WANT it to do, but doesn't.  ;-)
Like in my case, playing ripped DVDs off of the now almost full 2 gig
server.  (Speaking of which, got I gotta transcode those rips).

  When I used it in the past it was the bawlz.  Turning on the TV to browse
slashdot and the weather in the morning while the news is in PnP is just
awesome.

  It behaves VERY well as an appliance.  You would never know it was a Linux
box if you where joe shmoe.  But at the same time, you can tweak encoders,
etc, and satisfy your geek side.
