MythTV / DirecTV possible solution *FOUND*

Worthless. the HD TiVo box that DirecTV sold only supports premium HD  
content and will NOT support DirecTV HD Local channels.

They are encrypted in a different way (mpeg4) that the HD DirecTiVo  
can never support due to hardware limitations.
