resetting saved lines in an Xterm?

Does anyone know how to reset the -sb value of an xterm?

e.g., in my .Xdefaults file I have:
   XTerm*saveLines: 5000

which saves 5000 lines of scrollback in my Xterm. Someone just asked
me how to zero that out and make an existing xterm session "forget"
everything it's saved. The xterm man page mentions that this can be
done using the VT Options menu, but that's rather difficult to script.

Anyone here have any ideas?

Thanks,

A: Yes.
