I run hot and cold on CNET/AnchorDesk's analysis of some things, but Molly Wood
was too good not to pass along to you...

Molly says: The Zune will help kill DRM
With Microsoft, sometimes bad is good. Molly Wood, over at the
Buzz Report, says that Microsoft's copy-protection scheme for the
Zune music player--it's not even compatible with Microsoft's own
Plays For Sure--is so utterly bad that it might turn the tide for
all of us. Users will rebel. Music distributors and gadget
manufacturers will have to change their tune to stay in business.
Is this a strategic move by Microsoft to drag the iPod down by
highlighting the limitations of DRM? Or just a whacked scheme by
a company that really doesn't get what consumers want? Read
Molly's report for more.
