A note of thanks

I didn't want the moment to go by without noting that Guy Pardoe has
decided to step aside as the coordinator of the MonadLUG group and
take a moment to express my thanks. IIRC, several years ago, Guy had
heard there had been meetings in Peterborough, although nothing
consistent for a while, and stepped up to the job of herding the cats
and making the meetings happen. Guy has been point man for the group
for a couple of years now, and I've appreciated the effort. It's not
a job that often gets a lot of thanks and with good coordinators like
Guy, you hardly notice the effort, as things go pretty smoothly.
Thanks for the all the hard work, Guy!
It's been a busy year for transitions, and thanks also ought to go
out to Ken D'Ambrosio, who's stepped down as MerriLUG coordinator and
to David Berube, who ran the Fearless Leader position and CentraLUG
coordinator positions simultaneously. This group depends on
volunteers and every one is appreciated. Thanks to Heather and Jim
Kuzdrall for picking up the Nashua group and running a terrific
series of meetings this fall.
And thanks, too, to those that have provided continuity, in
continuing to volunteer and participate and keep the group going: Rob
Anderson, maddog, Bill McGonigle, Bill Sconce, Ben Scott, Lloyd Kvam,
to the speakers who volunteer their time and expertise, and to the
attendees who take valuable time out of their lives to join us and
talk Linux.
Enjoy the holiday!
