Those people have never mixed a system together from stable/testing/unstable :)

Debian has had them for years :)

Try using aptitude install foo. I find that aptitude seems to do a
better job of "fixing" things than apt-get.

(for varying definitions of "fixing", kinda like being "helpful" :)
