Yes!! Now I remember having similar problems with fetchmail and
kmail. Kjel, are you by any chance using SuSE? They activated
fetchmail by default. The missing messages can be accessed by mutt.
The only way I found to stop the conflict was by de-activating
fetchmail - which I probably did with a superb lack of sophistication.
