"Secure e-mail" is an oxymoron, no matter how "polished" the MUA is.
It if can be cut'n'pasted, it's not secure.  You can tunnel it over
SSL, and you can triple-encrypt it with the strongest crypto, but as
soon as it's read by the recipient, it's now insecure and sitting in
memory where it's vulnerable.

The biggest threats to "security" are stupid or non-caring users and
"ease-of-use".

But I don't really feel strongly about this ;)
