Me either, except a little. Did you figure out a solution?
I'm kinda surprised that sendmail is making lots of connections when
running the queue. OTOH... maybe it's making the connections when the
messages are being given to sendmail? Perhaps you could try telling
it to queue everything and deliver out of the queue (DeliveryMode=q).
