Video editing under Linux

I used to use LiVES ( http://lives.sourceforge.net/ ) maybe about 3 years 
ago for video editing.  Some sucess, but to be honest video capture from 
my Happauge card was a pain in the butt and I had sound issues.  For basic 
editing it might work and it might have gotten much better in the last few 
years.

Apologies if this one was already mentioned.
