In my book, I'd consider amps in the $500 and up range, speakers in
the $300ea per front channel speaker ballpark, etc. to be
considerably better than crap-level (but not audiophile -- that's
reserved for the multi-thousand dollar amp, $5k per speaker and up
setups). The $99 "home theater in a box" packages would definitely
qualify for crap-level though.
