Norm,

I just read the decision about Hosstraders, and I understand completely
your decision. The only sad thing about it is that I did not get a
chance to say "good-bye" to some of the very nice people I met up there,
and (given there may be no successor), may never see them again. I do
not like to think that this might include you, but Maine is a hop away
for me. Maybe we will meet again at some other event.

I do want to thank you for your hospitality over these several years.
Our group did get a chance to introduce many people to Linux and free
software in general, and several of us did become addicted to the "dog
bowel of french fries".

I think I will take your suggestion of going to the Hopkinton State Fair
next year. Maybe I will see "the flashlight guy" again, or have a hot
Italian sausage for old times sake. If you have a contact at the fair,
perhaps we can set up a small booth talking about "free software".

In the meantime, thanks again for all of the good times we had.

Warmest regards,

Jon "maddog" Hall
