Evolution sucks??

I switched from exmh to Evolution about two months ago. I had been
using exmh in its various incantations (MH, nmh, xmh, mmh, exmh) since
1991 or so. I liked it, and found nothing wrong with it, but it was not
"mainstream" to the project that I am now devoting a lot of my time, so
I switched to something that has an integrated calendar, email, address
book, etc.
I find that the more I use it, the more I find things that I did not
know they existed.
I also use my email differently than you do. I keep my inbox empty, and
put all of my email into other folders right away. Therefore I do not
have the trouble with spam scanning you do.
I also use server-side spam filtering, so very little actually gets to
my desk. The few that do I live with, so I to not have spam filtering
turned on at the client.
The documentation and the interface said that it could handle "MH style
folders". I never got this to work, so I had to convert a lot of my MH
folders by hand, and still do not have this all done. Which is probably
good, since I do not like the folder configuration as much as I liked
exmh, which was more compact.
The other day I was writing a letter and wanted to include a file as an
attachment. I grabbed the icon from the file viewer, and dragged it to
the attachment bar, and it attached itself. It felt almost like a
MAC.
