Price is important to me too, but B&Ms, especially M&Ps like SoftPro
and Quantum offer me substantially better personalized service than
any of the on-lines do.  I'm willing to pay a little more to help keep
them around rather than give my money to a company which doesn't
really need it.

Amazon doesn't care about me, Quantum/SoftPro does.

I feel the same about shopping at Wal*Mart and Home Depot.  I only
shop there when quality doesn't matter and there isn't an M&P nearby
likely to carry the item.

Quantum will special order anything I ask for, and reality-browsing is
more fun.
