I wonder why.  Does Ebay explain?

If someone has that kind of money and wants one, Tom W1TP is the
northeast's resident expert and dealer, Tom is regularly seen at MIT
Swapmeet frequently (was there July) and also Hosstraders/NEARfest
[mentioned by Ed above] and Boxboro ARRL biennial, and maybe other

 Enigma prices went through the roof as a result of the Dot-Com
injection of cash into math/software geeks hands -- the swiss post-war
export models are now selling for more than the German originals were
selling for back during the Reagan mini-recession.

At least over Xmas I stumbled on an olde fashioned restaurante that
served Bombe desserts, so now I know WHY the Polish mathematicians'
dessert over which they designed the eponymous machines were so named.
