Looks interesting, however despite the writeups a couple years ago on
Newsforge and also by Marcel Gagne, there seems to be no new
announcements on the company mailing list or releases visible on their
website.

I quickly ended up on this wikipedia page comparing Accounting packages:

That led me to TinyERP.  Looking at TinyERP, it seems to be a powerful
system.  I was impressed by the breadth and quality of the site.  The
code is Python, and module-based so that there are lots of functional
modules.  I was impressed to see some nice project management and
costing functionality included. http://www.tinyerp.com/  A French
company, so some of the site is French.  For Ubuntu fans, it's in
Feisty.
