    The management felt so bad because the room was not available that 
they gave us a nice space at the end of the bar and all the free beer 
we could drink.

    I don't remember much after that except for Ben doing pirouettes on 
a table top and Christoph, looking sober as a judge, expounding on 
something with a bearing of great authority.

    I assume the presentation went on, because it was a long and muddled 
evening - which usually means I heard something technical.
