Of course it might have helped if they had put in the dates of the
conference, but I found out from their site that it was October 11th.

Time enough to put something together, but not me, as I will be in
Curitiba, Brazil on that day.

I would suggest a good topic as one on "Integration of Proprietary
Software and FOSS", showing how FOSS can enhance and amplify their
existing systems.

Or a series of case studies about how FOSS either made money, saved
money or made the system better.
