That is an alternative. One of the other mailing lists I'm on offers
both "Tech" and "Unfiltered" versions of the lists, where the "Tech"
list explicitly filters out "OT" topics, effectively creating a
super-list and sub-list. Interestingly, that has lead to the "OT Forum"
turning into a vicious, nasty, ugly place where reactionary
right-wingers and radical left-wingers throw messages at each other.
Some people just want an argument, I guess. They seem to enjoy it. I
don't see a need for GNHLUG to host such a thing, though. I'll bet there
are lots of other places for that.

I think we just need to keep the watercoolor-chat at a level that
wouldn't make people uncomfortable if their spouse/kids/boss/Mom heard it.

However, Bill, I'd welcome you to bring those proposals with you to the
Organizational meeting next week. (We hope to have a location picked out
today.)
