  Ohhhh... that's a very good idea.  There's little practical
different between a network folder and a USB flash drive.  Do you know
off-hand if those portable packages will work if the containing folder
is read-only?  (So I don't have world-writable software hanging out on
my network.)  I'm gonna give it a shot either way... :)
