Koolu! www.koolu.com

I think you'll find the XO-1 might be neat for a niece or nephew, but
too small for your fingers to type on, despite being oh-so-cool. If you
want to play with the Sugar software, you can download a VM image from
the www.laptop.org site:

http://www.laptop.org/en/laptop/software/developers.shtml

And run it on most machines. (It also runs on the Koolu ;)

maddog brought a Classmate PC to the board meeting (Ben knows this, for
the benefit of others) running Ubuntu and I had the same problem with
the keyboard and I have relatively small hands. Cool, but a tad
smallish. Small screen, too. Is it a mini-laptop, or a maxi-PDA?

I haven't seen the Eee yet. It does look pretty neat. But I'm more
inclined to use some low-power machines as mini-servers (servlets?)
around the SOHO, and control them with a nice big screen that
accommodates my old eyes and a humpback keyboard and ergonomic mouse for
my RSI-strained hands than go for the portable form factor. What sort of
uses are you thinking of applying your toys towards?
