Microsoft OOXML ISO vote stacking fallout

Readers may recall that the ISO committee responsible for approval
of the OOXML standard saw a sudden influx of formerly disinterested
members after it became apparent that OOXML was not going to be
approved. It was widely speculated that Microsoft was attempting to
buy the vote.

While the truthiness of that allegation remains unproven, it is
interesting to note that since then, all activity on that committee
has ground to a halt. It appears that all those new members were only
interested in voting "Yes" for OOXML.
