FW: Greetings!

Oh do I understand. I am a member of the LUG back in Buffalo, and we have
some of the kernel maintainers on the list, like one of the fellow who does
the main kernel for FreeBSD, and does exactly that!

And please, feel free to ask questions. Some of the best threads on
this list have been borne out of "simple" or "beginner" questions.
Just a few months ago, a thread on shell scripting proved very
educational for me, and many others, I suspect.

If sometimes the more experienced LUG members seem to get caught up
in debating the number of angels which can dance on the head of a pin
(I'm certainly guilty of this), pay it no mind. The amount of debate
that can be had on a topic is usually inversely proportional to the
importance of the matter being debated. We all agree on the important
stuff, but can argue endlessly about what color the bikeshed should
be[1].

  Clear skies!
