iPhone/Smartphone stuff

Does anyone on the list have an iPhone?  We need to renew our cell phone contract and want to get new smart phones, and the iPhone by far seems to be the most capable device for the price.  I am also curious to know if you have any recommendations on other smartphones worth considering, and why.

What do people think about their cell phone coverage area?  We have Sprint now and it seems to be alright, but AT&T seems to have better coverage, as well as Verizon, especially for roaming.  

Any wisdom you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
