It seems to work.  I went so far as to get ssh and python running, and
started playing with pygtk on it.  I got a bluetooth folding keyboard
for it, which also works fine.  The built in camera works.

But my eyes turn out to be too old to easily use it for browsing, significant
editing, etc.

As Bill M, stated, the GPS is very slow to lock up.  If you have to start
driving before it does, it can take tens of minutes.  The free map app has
rough edges, resetting the scale on you at arbitrary moments, among other
things.

It is now in those pile of things that I intend to get back to someday.
