  I've never gotten the built-in CD writer feature of Win XP to work
for DVDs of any kind.  CDs, yah, but not DVDs.

  That said, XP's built-in CD-R/RW support is certainly good enough
for most purposes for CDs, and is all I usually deploy at $DAYJOB.  It
is limited, though.  It can't do things like close a session, "delete"
a file, or create/write a disc image.  For that, I add CDBurnerXP.
