  The 8.04 release was made recently, and greatly improves software
support.  If you do have an Intel 3945 abg card, however, make sure
you install the support daemon.  The kernel module is useless without
the daemon that it communicates with.  Found that out the hard way and
had to download the deb to a USB stick and install to get network
access via Wireless.

  Additionally, knetworkmanager doesn't seem to automatically
configure the wireless right.  I've founds that going to manual
configuration and setting an SSID to something valid 'wakes up' the
wireless section of knetworkmanager and then it will see the available
wireless networks, etc..
