There's something to be said for having subscriptions on a different email
account.  I put most of my subscriptions in my personal email box.  Gmail
and yahoo have free accounts.

Legally, your employer owns the contents of your mail server.  If you work
for a government agency, your email can be sent to anyone that files a
Freedom of Information request.
