Listen to your log files

Greetings,

This past week at the NEJUG there was an interesting demonstration on
how to simplify the task of checking the contents of log files.
Log4JFugue is an open-source Java API that turns log output into
music.

Essentially you configure the usual search phrases to play a sound,
like a bass drum, snare, or cymbal, etc. Then you pipe the log file
through the API and listen for problems while checking your GNHLUG
email, updating a Linux kernel or something.

The distro is at: http://log4jfugue.org/

I am interested in hearing from folks on this list- Is the Log4JFugue
tool useful on an ongoing regular basis? Or, is it more of a novelty
item?

Regards,

Mark
