Asterix phone systems in a box?

Are those analog extensions or are you buying VOIP extensions?  The 
Digium appliance is limited to 8 analog.  You can also buy bricks with 
analog ports on one end and ethernet on the other and put them anywhere 
you can find an ethernet.

If you go the latter route, any old box with an asterisk-based distro 
will do.  I use Elastix, which was a community response to Trixbox going 
non-free (one day I couldn't log into *my* PBX because the Trixbox 
website was down...).  I haven't seen a solution yet that 'makes the 
common things easy', though it's usually all possible.
