What is the intended application? Workstation, production server, test
server, etc?

That'll do. ;) Fedora Core 10? Sounds like a Workstation or
non-production server. If so, is there an intent to move virutal machines
into a production environment from this setup?

I didn't like VirtualBox when I last played with it, but that was years
ago. I suggest avoiding VMWare because it no-cost but not libre, and there
are many limits on what you can do with it. KVM and Xen are my falavors of
choise and it depends on the application.
