Thanks.  I'll keep it in mind.  But I now have access to two PCMCIA
ethernet cards for testing, so I'm probably good as far as ethernet
goes.

Err, yes, and I'll be trying puppy or dsl on it after I have the
weather station protocol figured out, so I'm on topic too.
