That is the original link I started from.  (See OP dated 10/7/2009) 
psock-0.2a.tgz doesn't make :(

I was hoping to find a version that at least would build...  Or notes in 
the TODO (or anywhere) so I could finish the project...  Right now, I'm 
flying in the dark with no radar...
