  Except then when the disk fails and they don't have disk redundancy
*or* an offline backup they come to IT and expect us to pull their
posterior out of the fire.  When we say we can't just pull data back
from the dead we're blamed for the whole episode and fired.

  (This actually happened with a customer when I was working for an IT
consultancy.  We even warned them it would happen ahead of time.
Still our fault.)
