  Stumbled across this today, seemed to be rather more useful than
most of the content-free hype I got when I tried looking up what
"NoSQL" meant.

  Like many other people who know their computer history (even if some
(like me) weren't there to witness it), I'm amused to find "NoSQL"
apparently being treated really hot excrement in the press, when many
of these systems hearken back to the original "data base" designs.  I
mean, I thought key-value went out with COBOL...  ;-)
