Two notable exceptions that I'd mention:

- Transcoding video with ffmpeg is known to be buggy
   in 64-bit mode.

- Various binary-blob windows codecs are only available
   as 32-bit binaries - which can hinder playback of
   more obscure video and audio files.

These issues still plague my 64-bit Mythbuntu box,
the next fresh install (2011?) will be 32-bit. :-)
