Widget to manipulate parallel port signals ?

Thanks.  Forgive me for appearing stoopid; the Installation instructions
on that page say, "Extract files from the archive, open a shell/console
in that directory and let Distutils do the rest", which sounds very nice
but I'm not sure what archive they're referring to.  When I clicked the
Download link at http://sourceforge.net/projects/pyserial/ and expanded
the resultant tarball and then executed the included setup.py I got
piles of serial stuff but nothing to do with parallel ports.  The search
function on Sourceforge returns nothing for "pyparallel" so if you have
a pointer to the archive in question please pass it along...
