Webinar Hosting

Ted,

Thanks for the response. I think I formed my question poorly.

As a small organization we don't often need huge enterprise services, but we require good software. As such I have done well implementing Linux leaning companies (or maybe cross platform companies). Instead of Exchange we have done well with Kerio Connect (Mailserver); Instead of Carbonite (SpiderOak); instead of Windows Server (ClearOS and Ubuntu servers).

I am looking for a similar equivalent to Webinar hosting. I am hoping to find the easiest to use, but most compatible to the most people. Big Blue Button looks hopeful. Thanks for the suggestions.

Additionally, I fear this post maybe be slightly off topic to this list, and I apologize if it is.

-Rob

You may want to take a look at BigBlueButton - http://demo.bigbluebutton.org/

One of the regulars here had mentioned this as an alternative in the past. No personal experience to share.

I'm not sure if this fulfills your "platform neutral/less plug-in (software centric)" requirement: can you expand on that? BBB works, if I understand correctly, as a Java app launched from a browser, so it is Mac, Windows and Linux compatible. But it may not run on an iPad, an Android tablet, a smartphone or a TV set top box. I guess I'm asking "how neutral" a platform you require.
