FWIW, IIRC, this is actually how the spec is written: The client
should keep trying DHCP exactly as before, despite having a link-local
address configured. Double-checking... yah, RFC-3927, Section 2.11.
However, I've never played around with that stuff under *nix, so I
have no idea how to actually achieve that. Sorry. But at least you
know your idea is reasonable.
