Tablet recommendations?

  I have a generic anti-recommendation story: I bought a no-name
Android tablet for $70 off one of those deal-of-the-day sites.  The
software's kind of weird, but that I expected.  Battery is pathetic
but that didn't surprise me.  Very problematic and mildly surprising:
The touch screen is horrible.  It seems to have about a 10% chance of
just doing something random when you touch it.  This makes using it
very painful, if not impossible.

  So, I'd suggest trying things hands-on before you commit to a purchase.
