While not a laser printer, the HP Officejet Pro 8600 has large ink jet
cartridges, ethernet and wireless, double-sided printing, document
feeder for copy, fax and scan. The printing I get from this printer is
much better than for the HP Color LaserJet 4500 it replaced. Also, the
warup time for a laser is quite high compared to the very short warmup
timne for the OfficeJet,. Both printers were discards I got at Regus
Office when someone moved out. The HP Officejet Pro was relatively new
where the laser jet had been a few years old. I use it from Fedora 18
with no problems. I have scanned documents. While I paid $100, it is a
$400 printer.
