Nashua LUG and linux question

Hi,

Seems all the discussion I saw for a bit last year about the Nashua
LUG seems to have disappeared. I when to the first couple meetings,
then got my evenings tied up.

Are they still meeting at MakeIt Labs?

And my linux question: I bought a sata card reader. and installed it
on my Debian machine. It works fine when I boot up. But if I choose
eject or safely remove, it appears to have no power after that.

Is it possible to get it back without reboot?

I've done some searching to no avail.
