Can this disk be repaired? Does it need to be?

Once upon a time I had an external drive with NTFS on Linux. I shared it
out with samba and NFS.
I didn't swap the drive from Linux to Windows, but I wanted to be able to.
FAT cannot be shared on NFS, NTFS can.
Support for NTFS with NTFS-3g isn't bad.
There *is* an ext2 (ext3?) module for Windows out there.
I would guess that swapping a drive between multiple OSes would cause
issues. Each OS might have different implementations of the FS spec. Or
how to fsck.
